FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Find answers to many of the questions all of our customers ask:
What are the advantages of resilient flooring?
Lonseal's chic line of high-performance resilient sheet vinyl products are stylish, versatile, and easy to clean. Our sheet vinyl products are stain, fade and wear-resistant. Additionally, Lonseal vinyl flooring is durable and time-tested, maintaining its beauty under heavy foot traffic and use while providing sound absorption properties and comfort underfoot.
What does Lonseal's "UV Cured Urethane" mean?
This unique wear layer provides low maintenance that requires only dusting and wet mopping. Therefore, no initial finish is required. Beneath the high-gloss UV cured top layer, the vinyl wear layer provides dazzling color and durability. The 50-micron thick, high-gloss protective layer is formulated to provide maximum resistance to foot traffic and most chemicals common to commercial settings.
What does the term "resilient" mean?
Vinyl flooring is also called "resilient" flooring because it characteristically "bounces back" from the weight of objects that compress its surface.
What are the advantages of heat weld vs. chemical weld?
Typically, heat welded seams are only required in areas where there may be excessive surface moisture or to create a bacteria-impervious seam, as needed in surgical areas or laboratories. Chemical welds are most frequently specified and are most attractive on both smooth and heavily embossed products.
What is the difference between an impact load and a static load?
Impact loads are momentary indentations like those produced from walking traffic. Static loads are any loads remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time.
